Product description

CEMPUR LACQUER / PAINT is a water soluble, fast curing, permeable single component elastic polyurethane lacquer / paint, which gives a semi-glossy surface with good abrasion resistance and good resistance for short term exposure to chemicals.
After curing the CEMPUR LACQUER / PAINT is tasteless and without odour.

Directions for use

CEMPUR LACQUER / PAINT is designed for Concrete floors, walls and cement based floor levelling compounds. Examples: Warehouses, storage rooms, workshops, staff rooms, basements and transport aisles. Dries very quickly. Allows light loaded traffic already the following day and heavy loaded traffic after one week. The paint is very open for steam diffusion and the alkali resistance is very good - which admits newly laid concrete floors to be painted as soon as the surface has dried. CEMPUR LACQUER / PAINT is not recommended on floors that are permanently exposed to water.
If new rubber wheels will be parked on the surface it is recommended to give an extra top coating with water based epoxy to prevent the rubber to discolour the surface.

Applications

Temperature for use: The temperature on the subfloor as well as in the room ought to be above + 10°C. The lowest film formation temperature is + 6°C.
Hardening time: Dust-free after approximately 1 hour at 20°C. Maximal wear- and chemical resistance after approximately 7 days. Good ventilation and high temperature shortens the curing time.
Material consumption: CEMPUR LACQUER: On a smooth surface up to 10 m2/kg.
  CEMPUR PAINT: On a smooth surface approximately 6 - 8 m2/kg.
Packaging: CEMPUR LACQUER / PAINT: 10 kg plastic container.
Storage time: 1 year in unopened original package. Must be stored above + 5°C.

Procesing

Preparation: The surfaces must be clean and dry, free from dust, laitance, grease, oil and other contamination’s. For best adhesion wash the subfloor with alkaline washing detergent, Rinse with plenty of water to neutralise and let the surface be completely dry before further application.
Application: The surfaces to be painted must be dry. Mix the paint well before application. Apply the CEMPUR LACQUER / PAINT with a short hair terry cloth mop. Two layers are recommended. The first layer ought to be diluted with 1/1 water, the second layer should be undiluted. If there is need for water resistant floor put an extra layer with concentrated lacquer on the top. The second and following layers ought to be applied as soon as possible after the first layer has dried out, normally approximately after 2 hours. Attend for good ventilation.
Health and care: Rooms where the paint is applied shall be well ventilated. Stains on the skin ought to be washed with water before the lacquer / paint has cured.
